Historical tour of Epsom and Ewell by minibus - Thursday 30 April 9.30am - 3.30pm

Starting and finishing at Bourne Hall, you will spend a day immersed in the unique history of the area travelling by minibus. The tour will take in Bourne Hall Museum, Nonsuch Museum and Gallery, The Horton, Epsom Well, Epsom Racecourse, and Epsom High Street.
Led by local historian Tim Richardson, who will introduce you to fascinating facts and stories about Epsom and Ewell through the ages. The tour includes the model of Nonsuch Place, Epsom Hospital Cluster, Epsom Racecourse and the statue of suffragette Emily Davison in Epsom.
Food and Drink
The tour will stop for lunch at The Horton Café-Bar. Pre-orders can be taken and paid for ahead of the day.
The Flying Saucer Café at Bourne Hall will also be open both before and after the tour.
Accessibility
The tour does not require much walking but does involve getting on and off the bus at all locations. There is lift access to the museum at Bourne Hall. Other stops require some standing. There are toilets along the route. We are very pleased to announce that due to high interest in this ‘In search of Pre-Raphaelite Ewell – Walk’ event, a new date of Thursday 14 May 10am has been added.
'Tricia will be leading another walk around Ewell, this time focusing on the Pre-Raphaelite artists who visited Ewell and the Hogsmill River in the 1850s. Find out which landscapes, buildings and characters inspired Holman Hunt, Millais and Collinson to produce iconic works. Tricia, who has lived in the borough for over 30 years, takes an active interest in art, local history and exploring places and will be your friendly, knowledgeable guide for this spring stroll around the local area.'
